Christmas market at the Hotel Maritim Playa, Gran Canaria (Nov. 24 - Dec. 17, 2023)

Since 2009, the annual Christmas market has been held at the Hotel Maritim Playa in Playa del Ingles on the 4 Advent weekends. What started as a "red wine idea" in 2008 has now become a tradition. The smell of mulled wine and freshly baked sweets is in the air.

Wooden huts by the pool

The beautifully designed wooden huts directly around the hotel pool invite you to eat waffles/crepes or enjoy a punch. But there are also hearty delicacies. For example, oven-fresh spit roast and hearty sausages from the charcoal grill. There are also craft exhibitors at the Christmas market. From home-made candles, ceramics or wood carvings, the Christmas market offers the opportunity to buy original gifts for your loved ones. Various children's choirs from the surrounding schools sing at the weekend.

One stand is particularly close to the organizers' hearts: the stand of the Asociacion Avanza Sur. Every sale of the homemade Christmas decorations available there benefits children who are not on the sunny side of life.
